Discriminatory Dismissal – Videocall
The 4th Chamber of the Regional Labor Court of Campinas ordered a company to pay moral damages to a former employee who was dismissed via video call after 22 years of service as a treasurer. According to the ruling, the issue was not merely whether the company could dismiss employees remotely (whether through a messaging app or a virtual meeting), but whether this manner of termination, combined with other circumstances, caused humiliation sufficient to justify compensation for moral damages, which the court found to be the case.

Resolution No. 788/2025 of the Federal Nursing Council was published to regulate the role of nurses in the regenerative field, particularly in the therapeutic use of blood concentrates for non-transfusion purposes, obtained through minimal manipulation, for exclusively autologous use.

Decree No. 12,603/2025 was published establishing the National Policy for Professional and Technological Education (PNEPT) and the National Evaluation System for Professional and Technological Education (SINAEPT).
Workplace Accident
Pension Limitation for Heirs – The 5th Panel of the Superior Labor Court limited a company’s liability to pay a pension to the heirs of an employee who died in a workplace accident until they reach 25 years of age, considering this period sufficient for the heirs to achieve economic independence.
